If you have some saddle soap that will work and it will keep the leather soft.

Soda, try Coke. You don’t want cheap store brand. Just pour it on and scrub it with a brush.

If they aren’t too dirty, you can just use Dawn and hot water with a toothbrush or nail brush. If they are stained a little, add a small amount of bleach to a cup of water with some Dawn in it. I have always used these methods since my husband owns (and gets dirty) about 7 pairs of leather tennis shoes.

you can use warm water and soap however depending on how soiled the shoes are I wouldn’t recommend going cheap like that. Also depending on what type of soil or dirt you have on the shoe is a factor because leather will sort of rot if you do wash the shoe. Just go out and buy some shoe cleaner; will save you a bunch of headaches in the long run.

Cherish
Wash in the sink with liquid detergent (laundry or dish) using a soft brush inside and out. Spin dry in the washing machine. Dry in the sun.

Believe it or not, I wash mine in the washing machine. I let them ’soak’ for a while with normal laundry soap. (’Liquid’ is best.) I use the ‘regular’ cycle for a few minutes; then put it to ‘gentle’. A LITTLE bit of bleach has never hurt them. I also add some old rags or a throw rug to keep them from getting ’scraped up’. (I one time put a pair in two old pillow cases; one shoe in each.) Use WARM water. Warm dryer ,or no dryer (the Sun is good…), and that’s it! Unless the shoes are ‘embellished’ (I had a pair that had a holographic sort of thing…) they really SHOULD be O.K! SERIOUSLY!!! I’ve ALWAYS done this -with my shoes and my kids’! Just use COMMON SENSE…it’s white leather you said, so be ‘gentle’!
