Maybe get him some tennis clothes
or some nice tennis sneakers

An inexpensive gift from local sporting goods store sweatband or find something similar at local store sweatband or even tennis is hard sport to get into though hope this helped.

How about a tennis cap? Nike dri-fit caps are pretty cheap, and tennis players usually need them when they play in the sun. They come in lots of colors too. Or how about a good tennis book? I’d recommend “Winning ugly”, by Brad Gilbert. There are also some nice dri-fit tennis shirts at Target, that tennis players can never get enough of.

USTA.com’s retail shop has some great US Open 08 themed stuff right now. Pretty decent prices.
