What kind of tennis rackets should I get for a beginner?
terliuke asked:
I would like to buy my fiance the tennis rackets for his birthday but I know nothing about the tennis or its equipment. Usually I have hard time in deciding, so would you recommend me any particular rackets and where is a good place to buy them? I was thinking to spend up to 200.
I said UP to 200, which means I could spent even much less if I wanted but I just want to make sure that I get good ones. And I meant for two rackets’ price, since he needs a partner (me), right? Lol I looked up online and there is so many to choose from. You guys are no help at all!! I will try to see any brands that some of you mentioned. And sorry, please, don’t offer to shop at Wal-marts (yuck) or Target. I am not giving my money to any abusive big fat corporation.

You could try a local store like Wal-Mart, Target, or any sports stores nearby.
I’m not sure of what brand to get (Wilson, Head, Prince, etc.)
But from what I’ve seen, the cheapest ones can cost from $20-$35 , and they work well.
If you want better ones , you could try eBay or something.
Hope this helps !

actually for a beginner the best racquet to buy is a very very cheap one (wilsons that are about $35-40) considering that he still haven’t played tennis in his entire life. Tennis is a big investment and you wouldnt want to give him a 200$ racquet and he might quit tennis after a few months.

An expensive racket until you dont need an expensive racket one can hit with some consistency so that is.
